K.I.C.S.

Welcome to Kids In Correct Seats!  Our program and fitting station was organized in January 2004 through a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.

The program is designed to help parents and caregivers learn how to select, install, and properly use child seats in vehicles.  Child seats are available at a discounted rate, and seats are distributed to low-income families at low or no cost.  All funds received are used to purchase more seats and keep the program running.

Did you know that only 83% of 4-7 year olds are restrained?  Does your child use a booster seat?

An average of 9 out of 10 car seats are being used incorrectly. Is your child’s car seat safe?

For more information or to set up an appointment to have your car seat inspected, please contact the K.I.C.S. program at the Yerington/Mason Valley Fire Department, 118 S. Main Street or call 463-2261.

WARNING - All Children under the age of 13 should ride in the back seat.
